Nature's out there, everywhere.
It holds you in it's arms.
The birds, the sea, the red, red dirt
Made us feel the island's charms.

So tomorrow we will head for home-
The direction will be west!
So George and Geri Kelly,
We leave you with our best!

Thanks so much for the T.L.C. We've had a terrific time!

Dear George and Geri,

Thank you for lending us your farmhouse and for your enthusiastic hospitality. With all the home conveniences provided, you anticipated the things we might need. The bike trail map and the National Parks pass were especially appreciated, as well as the movies and the cooking supplies. We felt quite at home. PEI is a wonderful place for a summer vacation.

We came to Kelly's Homestead with our 3 young children and we all had a wonderful time at this place! This was the fourth time that we spent our holidays in PEI and Kelly's Homestead was the best place where we stayed! We had everything we needed, the cottage location was great (very quiet, secure and close to the beach), and Geri + George were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly! They did their best to make our vacation in Blooming Point wonderful!

What can be said about this beautiful spot that has not already been said?! From the spacious surroundings outside, to the bright, cheery inside. Coming home at the end of the day to this peaceful retreat was wonderful. We arrived on the island for our son's wedding and stayed for 2 weeks. We have enjoyed the food, explored some of the countryside, viewed some lighthouses and played on the magnificent beaches with our grandson and nieces. There is so much to see and do. We are definitely returning to continue the adventure! Thank you George + Geri for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to staying here again.

Dear Geri and George:
First a thank you for a wonderful retreat at the farm with "Grandpa Kelly". We have been very comfortable even though the weather is both summer and fall this time of year. We're had a roaming vacation all over this island. Every day's journal is filled up with a variety of experiences. We found the singing sands at Basin Head, the double decker bus in Charlottetown, Anne at Cavendish, the potato harvest, Sandlands (the sand carvings Charlottetown), tonight it's a Ceilidh, the wind and waves at Cavendish. Many wonderful memories shared with good friends to carry us through the cold months.

Today is our last day in PEI and I cannot help but feel a little sad. This morning, I heard a crow doing backup singing to the island breeze and it was beautiful. Yesterday we went to our first ceilidh and had a blast in Stanley Bridge. The day before that, we went on a bike ride from North Rustico to Cavendish. I could go on about the memories that were created here, but words would make the indescribable experiences trite. Kelly's Homestead felt like a home. Great conversations were had in the living room and in the kitchen. After exploring the magnificent jewel of PEI, it was comforting to drive up to the farm and settle in for the night. What to say about our gracious hosts George and Ms. Geraldine? They are the crowning glory of the entire trip. From the moment we corresponded over email, I knew we were going to get on famously with the Kellys. To borrow a well-known phrase, it was evident we were to be bosom friends. Thank you for opening your home; for your great advice; for eating burnt zucchini bread(!);for giving us great ideas on what to do; and most importantly, thank you for the laughs.

What a wonderful "home base" to enjoy and use as a starting point for our explorations of the island; from Greenwich Beach to cycling from St. Peter's Bay to the dunes and beaches of PEI National Park to our many coastal drives chasing lighthouses to the walking tour of Charlottetown and yes - to the spectacular chowder and fish 'n chips at Rick's. The Kelly Homestead was so nice to come home to each night. Thank you George and Geri for making the Homestead available.

Dear George & Geri,
Thank you for giving us a "Home Away From Home" on our wonderful vacation in PEI. We all enjoyed our stay at the Homestead and it was difficult most mornings to even get away to explore the island as we felt so relaxed and comfortable here. We absolutely loved PEI and are already planning a trip back in the next year or two. We are hoping we can experience the hospitality and friendship you showed us again upon our return to PEI. Note: The Beach at Greenwich is certainly a find, and less busy than others.

Time really does fly when you're having fun! We shopped, did the "Harbour Hippo", watched stars (till 4am), ate lobster, saw Green Gables, fed the horses, golfed at Glen Afton, walked at the National Park, went to a Ceilidh, did the Charlottetown "Amazing Race", played password a trivial pursuit, watched movies, kayaked, visited with friends and ate some more. When did we sleep?? Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality, your visits and your stories about the island and the area. We'll be back!!! Thanks for everything!!

Thank you so much for letting us come here! We really loved staying at the 'homestead', it felt like a home almost immediately, We had fun at the Brackley Beach, and the beach by the house, found lots of shells and made some new 'friends'! The girls spent much time exploring Avon Lea, they went to the 'Anne' Show and it was spectacular! (At Avon Lea, the character 'Charlie' ate half Danielle's sandwich!) Thank you so much for making our 1st PEI adventure wonderful. We can hardly wait for our next visit to PEI and, of course, Kelly's Homestead. P.S. We loved the horses!

Dear Geri & George,
We had a lovely time at Kelly's Homestead! PEI is beautiful and already we're talking about coming back. Your home was so well furnished and the kids especially appreciated all the extras. We loved the beaches and the seal tour from Murray River.

The Ceilidh at Brackley Beach was fun and the people were so friendly.

It's the thyme in the sea-air and the stars in the night sky, that leaves you in awe. It's the history in the homestead, that makes you love the life. It's the call of the ocean that brings you back. But, it is the people here, that make you feel at home.
